This means observing thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations as they arise, allowing for greater understanding and acceptance of what one is experiencing.
In short, mindfulness is a powerful tool that can be used to improve quality of life, increase emotional well-being and promote greater connection with the present moment.

A Zen Buddhist master responsible for popularizing mindfulness, Thich Nhat Hanh (Vietnam, 1926 - 2022) is one of the most respected spiritual leaders in the world.

Nhat Hanh's key teaching is that, through mindfulness, one can learn to live happily in the present moment – the only way to truly develop peace, both in oneself and in the world.

Bodhi is the tree under which Buddha became enlightened. If anyone can become a Buddha, and Buddhas are all those who have attained enlightenment, this means that countless people have sat in this same place where I sit now. Sitting in the same place as Buddha generates happiness, and sitting with an alert mind is already becoming a Buddha.”

“When washing the dishes, you may be thinking about the tea you will drink next, and you will try to get rid of what you are doing as quickly as possible. This means that you are unable to live in the present moment. If you are washing dishes, you should consider this activity the most important thing in life. Likewise when you are drinking your tea: the act of drinking it should be the most important thing in life. If you are using the bathroom, the same: the act of using it will be the most important thing in life. And so on.”
